Why are we using Social Pinpoint?
Find out why we've changed our approach and what you can do on Social Pinpoint
Social Pinpoint is a browser-based online platform that's designed to help public sector organisations, like Leicestershire County Council, engage with their residents, businesses and visitors.
Historically, the Council has used the Have Your Say webpages for involving residents in decisions but following the pandemic, we recognised that many more of our communities were comfortable interacting with us online and that there were many dynamic tools on the market. We decided to try out Social Pinpoint for 12 months, to see if it works for local people and if it works for us.
Some of the benefits of using Social Pinpoint are:
- It brings high interactive online tools into the Council that enable our communities to give a more rounded response to our initiatives via live mapping, participatory budgeting, ideas generation, surveys or discussion forums.
- It is a very flexible tool, making it easy to create an online presence that's specific to each project
- It is fully accessible from desktop, laptop and Smart Phone to the highest accessibility standards.
- It makes it really clear when we're asking you to share personal information and . what we will do with this.
We're keen to ensure that you get the most out of using the platform and you can tell us about your experience via our very quick survey.
You can find out more about why we think it's important to engage our residents and our high standard via the LCC website page.
